Deaf League Out-of-Town

Two Draws were played at North Grenville Curling Club in North Grenville near Kemptville, about 45 minutes driving south from the capital. NGCC was franchised in the formerly hockey rink. That rink was the nice way to give curlers experienced playing on rink similar to high-level curling competitions that have always used in most of various rinks or arenas around the world. The result was that the curlers felt amazing while entering the rink atomsphere, even though they realized that driving from the capital was sort of skeptical, but they would not mind to play again in the future.

Jack-O-Lanterns Contest

Last Friday night, the 23th of October, 6 various Jack-0-Lanterns were sculpted by each team with the spirit of early Halloween. Despite of not wearing Halloween costumes or hats, they did not lose the spirits and they kept acting as children to create Jack-o-Lanterns for the contest to get good prizes. The three winners were selected by judges who were fans based on the best sculpture. All the sudden, two teams were tied, so Paul, the bartender, had to break the tie by choosing which team would be awarded for 1st place that went to Team Ullett. Team Morton was prized as 2nd place. 3rd place was given to Team Joseph. Wave-hand to them.
